Solve by Robert Monsen
This is a program which is useful for doing simple "what if" calculations given a set
of functions. For example, you can set up formulas for mortgage calculations or loan
calculation, and fool around with the numbers to see what you can afford. You can set up
the total price, and interest rate, and have the payments computed. Or, you can
set up the payments and interest rate, and have the principal computed.
Also, there is an example set of equations which gives conversions for different types of
linear and area units.
There are lots of other examples. You should play with this program to get a feel for it.
Also, there is help in the "About Solve..." menu selection in the apple menu.
Its free. Have fun.
Based on a pd program by Keith Rule at Tectronics.
